TGBot Global Documentation

Everything about setting up and using TGBot Global: every module, setting, limit and command in one place.

Introduction

TGBot Global is an all-in-one Discord bot for community servers. It combines an economy with a store, casino, boxes and quests, member profiles with levels and titles, music, tickets, greetings, roles, moderation and security, plus features you rarely find elsewhere: clusters of linked servers, partnerships between servers and a Server Premium your members buy with coins.

Almost everything is configured in the web dashboard, so you do not need to remember setup commands. Members use the bot through slash commands in Discord.

  • Slash commands start with / and are used by everyone.
  • Text commands start with the prefix & and are mostly for administrators.
  • The dashboard holds every setting, grouped in sections.

Getting started

Adding the bot

Press Add to Discord, choose your server and confirm the permissions. You need the Manage Server permission on that server.

Role position

Discord only lets a bot give roles that are below its own role. In Server Settings → Roles, drag the TGBot role above every role the bot should give: store roles, level roles, auto roles, reaction roles and the premium role.

Opening the dashboard

Log in with Discord on the website, open your avatar menu and choose Servers. You see servers where you are the owner or have the Administrator permission. You can also run /dashboard in Discord to get a direct link.

Saving changes

When you change something, a Save bar appears at the bottom of the page. Changes take effect after you press it. Some editors, such as the calendar, store or promo codes, save with their own buttons.

Plans and Premium

The core of the bot is free. Two paid plans unlock more modules for a server: Premium Lite and Premium Pro. Pro includes everything in Lite. A plan belongs to one server.

PlanWhat it unlocks
FreeModeration and admin commands, reaction roles, auto and level roles, experience, levels and viewing profiles, greetings, built-in triggers, auto voice, reminders and to-do, random and fun commands
LiteMusic and playlists, profile editing, banners, comments and titles, tickets, custom triggers, calendar (5 events per month)
ProEconomy, store, casino, boxes, quests, promo codes, Server Premium, bigger calendar (15 events per month), partnerships, security (captcha, spam protection, banned words, security log) and clusters

Locked sections in the dashboard show which plan they need. Prices are on the Premium page.

Sub-servers in a cluster use the plan of the server that manages a shared feature, so you do not need to buy a plan for every server.

Commands and modules

Commands are grouped into modules. A module can be turned on or off as a whole in the Commands section of the dashboard, and single commands can be switched off inside it. Disabled commands disappear from Discord for that server.

  • Type /help in Discord to see every command with a short description.
  • The full list with usage is on the Commands page.
  • Some fun commands, like /random coinflip, also work in direct messages with the bot.

Syntax

  • <value> is required, [value] is optional.
  • A || B means choose one of the options.

Text commands and prefix

Admin text commands such as &add_money, &lock or &say are typed as normal messages. The default prefix is &. Change it in Main → Prefix.

Main

  • Prefix — the character that starts text commands.
  • Timezone — used for events, reminders, the calendar and daily streaks.
  • Random Reactions — the bot sometimes reacts to a message with a random emoji from the server. Turn it off if you do not want that.
  • Streaks — turn daily streaks on or off, see Streaks.
  • Suggestions — the channel where /suggest ideas are posted for voting.

The Main section also shows your server's plan, the current server time and a command example with your prefix.

Dashboard access

The server owner and members with the Administrator permission can open the dashboard and save every section. Connecting servers into a cluster is limited to the owner, because it shares data between servers.

Give the Administrator permission only to people you trust. They can change every bot setting on your server.

Economy

Every member has two balances: cash and card. Salary goes to the card, casino games use cash. Members move money with /economy deposit and /economy withdraw and see both with /economy balance.

Income

  • /economy work pays a random amount between the minimum and maximum income you set.
  • Work cooldown is the time between two shifts, 24 hours by default.
  • Role bonuses add extra income for chosen roles.
  • Stream bonus pays coins for every hour a member streamed.

Credits

Members borrow coins with /economy credit and pay them back with /economy repay. You set the limit and interest in the Economy section. Members with Server Premium get a higher limit and lower interest. Members with unpaid debt can be blocked from some actions until they repay.

Transfers and items

/economy transfer sends coins to another member with an optional comment. /economy give-item passes an item from the inventory.

Currency and log

  • Currency emoji is shown next to every amount: pick a server emoji or a standard one.
  • Currency name is used in currency exchange between partner servers.
  • Balance log channel posts every balance change. Create for me makes a private channel, None turns the log off.

Admin commands

CommandWhat it does
&add_money <user> <amount> [card|cash] [reason]Adds coins
&remove_money <user> <amount> [card|cash] [reason]Takes coins away
&set_balance <user> <amount> [card|cash] [reason]Sets an exact balance
&clear_debt <user> <reason>Removes a member's loan debt

Store

The store sells four kinds of things:

  • Items go to the member's inventory. You can limit how many one member can own.
  • Roles are given right away when bought. A member cannot buy a role they already have.
  • Sets bundle several items and roles into one purchase.
  • Boxes from the Boxes section, added with + Box. Bought boxes go to the inventory and are opened with /box open.

Every entry has a price and an optional discount. A store can hold up to 50 entries. The dashboard marks roles the bot cannot give, so you can fix the role order before saving.

Buying

Members open /economy store, add things with /economy add-to-cart, open /economy cart and press Checkout. Purchases also give experience.

In a cluster with a shared economy, the main server's store can sell roles from any server in the network. The role is given on the server it belongs to, so the buyer must be a member there.

Boxes

Boxes contain random rewards. Each box has a name, an emoji, a rarity (common, uncommon, rare, epic or legendary) and up to 20 drops. A server can have up to 20 boxes.

  • A drop can be coins, an item, a role or nothing.
  • Each drop has a weight: the higher it is compared to the others, the more often it falls out.
  • Sell a box by adding it to the store with + Box.

Members check a box with /box info and open it with /box open, adding a count to open several at once.

Casino

Four games use the member's cash: /casino blackjack, /casino ride_the_bus, /casino roulette and /casino slots.

  • Bet limits set the smallest and largest bet for each game. Leave the maximum empty for no limit.
  • Fee tiers take a percentage from big winnings to keep the economy balanced. Members with Server Premium can pay a lower fee.

Quests

Quests are tasks members complete for rewards. A season has a title, a description and a banner image. A server can have up to 50 quests in up to 10 categories.

  • Each quest has an ID, a title, a description, a category and a reward in coins and store items.
  • Members see quests with /quests list and submit a completion with /quests complete, adding a comment and a screenshot.
  • A reviewer approves or rejects the submission. Approved members get the reward.
  • /quests statistics shows how many quests a member completed.

Promo codes

Promo codes give coins to the members who redeem them. A code is 3 to 32 letters, digits, dashes or underscores, has a coin reward and an expiry date up to one year ahead. A server can have up to 50 codes.

Members redeem a code once with /economy promocode. The dashboard shows how many members used each code.

Server Premium

Server Premium is your own subscription that members buy with server coins. It gives your economy a goal and rewards active members.

  • Name — by default the server name and VIP.
  • Role — given while the subscription is active and removed when it ends.
  • Prices — for 1 and 3 months, in server coins.
  • Discounts — separate discounts for buying for yourself and for gifting.

Perks for members

  • A premium badge on the profile
  • Missed work shifts are saved and claimed at once, up to 30
  • Streaks last 10 days without activity instead of 5
  • A higher credit limit and lower interest
  • A lower casino fee if the server set fee tiers
  • More options in /flashback

Members buy it with /premium info and gift it with /premium gift.

If the server's Pro plan ends, the members' subscriptions are paused and continue when Pro is active again, so nobody loses the time they paid for.

Profiles and levels

Every member has a profile shown with /profile info. Anyone can view a profile and level, and levels are earned on every server. Editing a profile and setting a title with /profile edit needs Lite. Birthday and timezone are set with the free /birthday and /timezone commands and set a banner with /profile banner.

Custom pages

In the Profiles section you can add up to 5 profile pages, each with up to 5 fields of short or long text. Members fill them in and others can leave comments with /profile comment.

Experience and levels

Members earn experience for chatting and for store purchases. Every level needs more experience than the one before, up to level 50. The bot congratulates members on every new level.

Titles

Administrators give titles with &add_title and take them away with &remove_title. Members choose which title to show.

Streaks

Members build a streak by writing at least one message every day. The bot reacts to the first message of the day with a fire emoji that changes at 15, 30, 60 and 100 days.

  • A streak is lost after 5 days without messages, or 10 days with Server Premium.
  • When a member comes back after a break, the bot welcomes them back.
  • Days follow the server timezone from the Main section.

Greetings

Greetings are embed messages for four moments: welcome, welcome DM, farewell and birthday.

  • Choose a channel, or leave Create for me and the bot makes one.
  • Write a title (up to 100 characters), a text (up to 1000) and a footer.
  • Pick the stripe color and check the live preview.

Roles

Auto roles

Give roles to every new member automatically in the Autoroles section.

Reaction roles

Members pick roles by reacting to a message. Create messages in the Reaction Roles section or with /reactionrole create, then add emoji and role pairs with /reactionrole add. A server can have up to 10 messages with up to 20 reactions each. Members get the role when they react and lose it when they remove the reaction.

Triggers

Triggers are automatic replies to words and phrases. Built-in triggers are free. With Premium Lite a server can also add up to 25 custom triggers, each with up to 10 keywords and up to 20 possible replies. Without Lite, saved custom triggers stay in the settings but are paused.

  • Default triggers are built-in replies you can turn off.
  • Sensitive content allows triggers marked as sensitive.

  • Lite holds up to 5 events per month, Pro up to 15 per month.
  • In a cluster with a shared calendar, events are managed on the main server.

  • A server can have up to 5 sub-servers.
  • Connect servers in the Clusters section by dragging from the arrow handle of one server to another.

  • Spam protection — deletes messages from members who send too many too fast.
  • Banned words — deletes messages with words from your list, up to 200 words.
  • Invite links — deletes Discord server invites.
